Karachi Support Group Meeting - the beginning to many more in 2008!

The Pakistan Stammering Association started 2008 with gusto! We had our first meeting in Islamabad and now the 3rd one for Karachi. As I go to each meeting, I feel rejuvinated, I know I'm definitely not the only one who stammers, and I come home feeling blessed with great admiration for the folks I meet at these meetings. The courage, the humour, the love and support that everyone shows is just irreplaceable and I am so grateful for it. Thank you! :)

As always, it was a very animated meeting. We laughed, we shared, (I cried - but only out of admiration for the courage and positivity displayed by some very special people) and we set goals on how to overcome our fears. We talked about Joseph Sheehan's analogy to the iceberg, and discussed ways to break away the hidden mass of the iceberg that we hide from the world.
